Students work from Introduction to Design (Spring 2026), created using Adobe Express (AI-generated).

About This Lesson

AI is transforming design—from a rapid ideation tool into a real-time creator of polished, personalized brand assets. Creative education must evolve just as quickly. Integrating AI into the classroom is essential to prepare students for the future of multimedia and design industries.

Drawing on 30+ years of industry experience, this session tackles key skill gaps in new graduates: limited production-level technical rigor and difficulty adapting to professional workflows. Participants will explore how training students in AI literacy and prompt engineering positions AI as a creative partner—accelerating brainstorming, prototyping, and iterative design while supporting real-world production practices.

This session will demonstrate how to pre-set AI project templates, create a mock brand in Adobe Express, and collaborate with technology students. Educators will learn how to simulate authentic industry workflows through project-based learning. Students move from concept to final output while building technical confidence, problem-solving skills, cross-disciplinary communication, and engagement.

Attendees will try several activities and leave with ready-to-use AI templates, classroom activities, and a practical planning guide to immediately modernize their creative curriculum.
